Tour Itinerary Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Welcome to Vietnam Culture Tour to discover Vietnam Textile and Culinary Secret, on arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, our tour guide will greet and transfer by private car to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam. In the evening, you will enjoy welcome dinner at local restaurant with authentic Vietnamese cuisines. Stay overnight in Hanoi hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B)
We leave Hanoi for Mai Chau which is located in green valley that is inhabited by several ethnic minorities, including H’mong and Thai people. After 3 hours driving in mountainous area, we will be arrival at the Thai village of Ban Lac where we will stay overnight with the locals. The whole afternoon, you will discover the village with tour guide. First, we stop to visit the head of community to go along the history of The Thai People, culture, tradition and festivals. In the evening, enjoy a dancing show by local artists. At the end, we try traditional Ruou Can” (rice wine) from a long-curved reed. Stay overnight in Mai Chau.
Day 3: Mai Chau – Hanoi – Sapa (B)
In the morning, take a walk to the local market where we will see some of very intereting foods like bamboo shoots, bee honey, then continue to visit the surrounding. In the afternoon, we leave Mai Chau for Hanoi. Tonight, transfer to Hanoi Train Station to embark on the overnight train to Sapa. Stay overnight on train.
Day 4: Sapa day tour (B)
Today, upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station around 6 am, we will drive up to Sapa which is located 1600 m high above the sea level, enjoy breakfast at local restaurant then visit Sapa Market and The Black Hmong Village of Cat Cat. In the afternoon, visit the Zay Village of Ta Van, The Black Mong Village of Lao Chai and The Red Dao Village of Ta Phin, we can view most intriguing work & collection of ancient designs of local weavers, enjoy bast fiber (smashing, bleaching...), visit indigo or hemp farms and study batik & tritik technique and H'mong and Dzao textiles. In the evening, free at leisure. Stay overnight in Sapa hotel.
Day 5: Sapa – Bac Ha – Hanoi (B)
Today, we drive from Sapa to Bac Ha Market which is located 100 Km away. Bac Ha is a small town that is famous for colorful Sunday Market. The Flower H'mong women wear checkered head scarves and brightly colored tops and skirts decorated with elaborate embroidery. The main goods on sale here are livestock such as buffalos, pigs, chickens, and horses, local products like rice wine, household items, brightly dyed wool, hill tribe garments, and ethnic handicrafts such as jewelry, baskets, and textiles. After visiting the market, drive back to Lao Cai Train Station for overnight train to Hanoi. On the way, visit the border gate betwwen Vietnam and China. At 9 pm embark and stay overnight on train.
Day 6: Hanoi – Danang – Hoian (B)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, free at leisure until transfer to Noi Bai Airport for a short flight to Danang, and then continue to Hoian. Hoian is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mainly because of its Chinese, Japanese and European architectures. In the afternoon, relax on Cua Dai Beach or visit silk and handicraft villages along the Thu Bon River. The evening is on your own schedules. Stay overnight at hotel in Hoian.
Day 7: Hoian (B, D)
This morning, visit Hoian Town with with Japanese Covered Bridge, Phung Hung House, Chinese Assembly Hall, Quan Ong Pagoda, visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village by boat. In the afternoon, enjoy cooking demonstration and market tour with local cheft. The market tour will give you an insight not just into the scents and flavor of Vietnamese herbs and spices but also market culture such as how to bargain and where to buy goods. Our chef will talk with you about today's dishes then lead you to each dish giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavors for dinner. Dine on the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste at home. Your evening is at leisure. Stay overnight in Hoian hotel.
Day 8: Hoian - Danang - Ho Chi Minh (B, D)
After breakfast at hotel, we transfer to the Danang International Airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. In the afternoon, enjoy the oriental tour to the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, China Town, Ben Thanh Market. Enjoy warm dinner at the restaurant and then free evening for your own discovery. Stay overnight at hotel in Hochiminh.
