Famous for its weaving, high-quality silk and intricate craftsmanship, the village offers visitors a special chance to witness traditional weaving techniques, explore local workshops, and purchase exquisite handmade silk products.

Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Enjoy a scenic 45-minute drive to Cu Da Ancient Village, a hidden gem on the outskirts of Hanoi, known for its well-preserved ancient houses, French colonial influences, and traditional vermicelli production.
Start to explore Cu Da Ancient Village (8:45 - 10:30)
On arrival, you wander through centuries-old houses, built from laterite bricks with unique French and Vietnamese architectural blends. Also, visit a local vermicelli workshop to see how the famous Cu Da vermicelli (miến) is made and dried under the sun (subject to weather conditions). You have a chance to stroll along the village's ancient roads, visit local pagodas, capture the serene beauty of traditional life and your guide will assist you to catch a chance to interact with friendly local villagers.
Home-Hosted Lunch with a Local Family (11:00 - 13:30)
You drive to a local family's home, where you’ll be warmly welcomed. You can join the host in preparing some traditional dishes (optional hands-on cooking) before enjoying a home-cooked Vietnamese meal, featuring local specialties including a dish made from local vermicelli.
After meals, enjoy tea and chat with your host to learn more about daily life, customs, and traditions.
Visit Van Phuc Silk Village (14:00 - 15:15)
A short 30-minute drive brings you to Van Phuc Silk Village, the most famous silk-producing village in Vietnam, known for its 1,200-year-old weaving tradition. You will visit traditional silk weaving workshops to witness artisans at work. On site, learn about the silk-making process, from silkworms to finished fabric. Later, wander to explore local shops and markets to purchase high-quality Vietnamese silk scarves, ao dai, or fabric as souvenirs.
Finally, enjoy a comfortable ride back to Hanoi hotel. Tour ends around 16:00 with unforgettable memories of village life, traditional crafts, and warm hospitality.
