AM: City tour half day
This morning, meet your guide and drive for a half day tour to explore Saigon on a walking tour taking in the city’s most impressive sites and landmarks including the Independent palace, or Reunification Palace - head quarter of the South Republic of Vietnam during wartime. Wondering around French quarter with Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office, Opera house… a stop at Ben Thanh market for your free shopping before return to the hotel for leisure time.

Optional - Private sunset cruise on Saigon River (with supplement)
In the late afternoon, you will leave the bustling city to embark on a private cruise along the Saigon River to see the city from afar while the sun sets behind the horizon. The scenic boat ride will also take you to completely authentic natural areas, with palm trees dotted along the banks of the river and Thanh Da Island, a rural area in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. During the cruise you will also enjoy cold drinks and a selection of snacks while enjoying the passing scenery nestled along the Saigon River.
Duration: 2 hours, from 16:00 to 18:00

Check out and transfer to the airport to catch the departure flight to Danang city.
Upon arrival at Danang airport, you will be picked up and transferred to Hoian, a tranquil ancient town by the river. Free at leisure.

Walking tour - Boat trip
In the late morning, meet your guide for a leisure stroll to the ancient town to visit the houses and the famous Japanese Bridge. Lots of chances to shop at the craft shops in the town, walk through this charming riverside town which is famous for its tailors and preserved architecture. Visiting main attractions of the town: Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tan Ky ancestral.
In the later afternoon, take a short boat trip to a nearby island and visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics. Return to the hotel for free time.

Check out and private drive to Danang Airport to take the flight to Hanoi capital city.

Pick up by local team on arrival and transfer to hotel in city center.
Take a leisure cyclo ride in 45 mins around Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter, French Quarter and chill over a cup of coffee/ tea at a typical local shop to feel the bustling city at the end of the day.

After breakfast, meet your private driver at hotel and we drive 2,5 hours to Halong bay the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The scenery of Halong Bay where thousands of limestone islands jut out of the emerald sea, sculpted into bizarre shapes is truly an iconic image for Vietnam. An overnight relaxing boat trip is the best way to enjoy this must-see natural wonder of Vietnam.
On arrive at the jetty in Halong City around noon, proceeding with check-in formalities. After a welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself.
In the afternoon, the program also includes more activities on the bay such as swimming or kayaking (excluded from the cruise package) or cave visits on the vast sea, cooking class onboard to challenge your skills in preparing a very famous Vietnamese dish (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or you can just spend some time relaxing on board.
Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board. Overnight on cruise.

Transfer & duration Hanoi - Halong: 160 km – 2.5 hours

The sun rises on the bay in the morning and a light breakfast is served on board (also brunch on some boats) while cruising slowly back to the shore. This is the time you can take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of the bay as you navigate back to Halong City.
Disembark at noon and meet your driver at the dock and drive to back to Hanoi. Arrival at your hotel around 15:00.

After breakfast at hotel, meet your guide and drive for a short drive to Ethnology Museum of Hanoi, where you will learn about the different ethnic groups of Vietnam and admire impressive collection of traditional costumes, musical instruments, jewelry, weapons and illustrations of various customs of the 54 minorities, providing an interesting introduction to Vietnamese culture. The open space is rather ideal for kids to run around and explore themselves.
