After your delicious breakfast at the hotel, meet your local guide at your hotel before setting off on your drive to Mai Chau – a yawning valley, cradling picturesque rice paddies and boarded by looming karst rock formations. Enjoy picturesque views of the scenic landscape, sown with pagodas and rural villages. Stop along the way at Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley.
You will have locally-made lunch served at a traditional stilt house in Mai Chau and enjoy your relaxing moment before spend the afternoon hiking through terraced rice paddies and small villages, discovering the natural beauty of the valley and encountering the culture of the White Thai people, living in the region. This morning, you might choose to relax at your room or head out for a guided tour of hiking or biking along more tribe villages until check out.
Then, journeying to Ninh Binh, in which Vietnam's first capital (Hoa Lu) is historically recorded.
On arrival, check in your hotel and leisure to unwind in the tranquil rural life.

Start your morning by a leisure biking to surrounding villages of Tam Coc, passing slowly through rice fields amidst the spectacular scenery of rocky peaks, meandering canals and lush vegetation. Make a stop at ancient pagoda along the way.
Then, journey to Hoa Lu, Vietnam's first capital under the Dinh Dynasty between 968 and 1009 AD. Some of the sanctuaries and tombs have survived the years and can still be seen today.
After lunch, enjoy a leisure cruise to visit Trang An, a nature reserve similar to Tam Coc however less visited. Limestone hills surround a peaceful river which passes through a series of caves (one which takes 15-minutes to pass through in darkness). It is an “eco-tourism” area, the only interruptions here are the sound of birds and the gentle paddle of the oar upon the crystal clear river. Back to your hotel in the afternoon for leisure time.

After breakfast, stay goodbye to the ancient capital to depart by car to Halong - the UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrive at the jetty in Halong City around noon, embark on your cruise and get a warmly welcome onboard.
In the afternoon, the cruise itinerary includes more activities such as kayaking or cave visits on the vast sea. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Optionally participate in cooking demonstration onboard to challenge your skills in preparing a very famous Vietnamese dish (depending on each boat’s itinerary). Later on, you freely chill on the sundeck and treat yourself (on your account) with a freezing cocktail while the sun goes down under the bay horizon. Majestic sunset on board if weather permits.
